1885–91

A family residence

Construction of the building took place between 1885 and 1891, beginning its long life at the heart of the old town.

c. 1930

The Savoia years

Part of the building became Hotel Savoia, adding a new chapter to its role in local life.

1941

A changing city

Historical accounts note that the Bank of Naples used part of the premises during this period.

c. 1960–2002

Hotel Argjiro opens

The building operated as Hotel Argjiro for decades before closing and falling into disrepair.

2011–16

Restoration and a new chapter

Restoration began in 2011. On 3 August 2016, Hotel Argjiro opened its' doors again, welcoming guests from all around the world, continuing its tradition of hospitality.
